HOLGER HOFFMANN
1974
received a Postgraduate architecture diploma (mit Auszeichnung/hons.) from Staatliche Hochschule der bildenden Künste,Städelschule Frankfurt.
He holds a professional degree in architecture Dipl.-Ing.(FH) from Muenster School Of Architecture.
Currently he performs as senior architect at UN Studio, Amsterdam. He collaborated with United Architects, New York and with Bolles+Wilson, Münster, Germany.
Together with Christian Veddeler and Sven Pfeiffer, Holger Hoffmann founded GDL 'genericdesignlab' in 2003 as an independent research platform for the exploration of digital design methodology. Since then he has taught diverse bachelor and master seminars as unit master at Muenster School of Architecture. He was tutor at the Berlage Institute Steel Masterclass and AAA Arhus School of Architecture. He has been guest-lecturer at TU Kaiserslautern, Chalmers University, Gothenburg, Sweden, and TU Delft where he works as tutor for a theory class and a design studio since 2006. Since 2007 he is teaching "CAAD and Construction" at the FH Trier.
Holger Hoffmann was awarded with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung-Scholarship and the Taut Preis 2005 of Bundesarchitektenkammer, Berlin.
